Welcome to the Library!
Take a Tour!
Career Counseling is available to all high school students through the library. Each year, students must answer questions pertaining to their ideal occupation and narrow down choices. A variety of programs and search engines are available for more information on occupations. Also, events are planned such as Groundhog Job Shadow Day, college visits, and fairs to broaden awareness and choices available.
ROP Teacher's Aide is one of the many Regional Occupations Programs (ROP) offered at Needles High School. Students are educated in the tasks neccessary to become teachers' aides and are assigned teachers to complete tasks for. These tasks include: copying papers, grading tests, creating lessonplans, making PowerPoint Presentations, running errands, and answering phones and student's questions. Teachers fill out evaluation forms each week, and the student will create and teach a lesson to the students before the end of the course. ROP classes enable students to have experience in specific occupations before exiting high school. Students are therefore better able to make career choices as adults. |
